Yuxing Zhi
Biography
I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Technology from the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Xi'an University of Technology in June 2026, where I also received my B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees. Supervised by Prof. Junhuai Li, my academic journey has been driven by a passion for creating intelligent systems that understand human states. I ranked 1st out of 11 in my doctoral cohort with a weighted average score of 88.8/100 and am a recipient of the National Scholarship.
My research sits at the intersection of Multimodal Learning, Affective Computing, and Physiological Signal Analysis.
Research Interests
My research focuses on multimodal representation learning for human-centered affective, cognitive, and behavioral understanding. I am particularly interested in developing robust learning methods for heterogeneous data, including text, audio, visual signals, EEG, and pressure sensor data. Key areas include:
- Multimodal Learning & Affective Computing: Robust sentiment analysis and emotion recognition.
- Cross-modal Alignment & Fusion: Effective integration strategies for heterogeneous modalities.
- Physiological Signal Modeling: EEG-based affective computing and attention modeling (e.g., ADHD assessment).
- Human Activity Recognition (HAR): Wearable sensor-based action recognition and movement assessment.
